In an article posted on MarketWatch.com on 3/20/23—Opinion: A small-cap fund guru explains why you need to invest in small companies: they’re the stock market’s undiscovered nuggets—Chuck Royce spoke to Michael Brush about his take on the current small-cap market and why his long-term confidence is strong.

Chuck detailed why he believes small-cap stocks can retake their long-term performance advantage over large-cap stocks in the years ahead. He discussed why he believes that “we are in the 8th or 9th inning of this decline” but that trying to time market bottoms is not important. “Ultimately it is the average price you pay that matters. Entry points should be slow and deliberate. You want a great average price.”

He also talked about six holdings in which his confidence was high: Artisan Partners Asset Management, Morningstar, Ralph Lauren, Air Lease, Kennedy-Wilson Holdings, and Agilysys
