Co-CIO Francis Gannon recently talked to Jamie McGeever at Reuters in the piece, US small caps quietly notch historic outperformance vs tech that delved into what McGeever described as “one clear but overlooked trend… in U.S. equities: the rotation out of expensive tech stocks and into cheaper small caps” before going on to note that the small-cap Russell 2000 Index was well ahead of the mega-cap and tech-laden Nasdaq 100 in August.

One of three investment professionals quoted in the piece, Francis commented that it’s been a “stealth summer” for small-caps because the asset class’s strong absolute and relative performance—which dates back to the market’s early April lows—has gone “mostly unnoticed.”
