Co-CIO Francis Gannon appeared with Gregg Greenberg of Investment News to offer the reasons why he thinks small-cap’s market leadership can extend into 2027.

Francis said that previous small-cap leadership cycles have all lasted several years while also noting that earnings growth for the asset class remains vibrant—and likely to last into next year. He opined that higher bond yields are not likely to impede small-cap performance beyond the short term because small-cap valuations remain reasonable on an absolute basis and more attractive than those for large-cap stocks.
