On 1/7/26, Co-CIO Francis Gannon spoke with Josh Lipton on Yahoo’s Market Domination Overtime about the robust earnings forecast for small-cap stocks in 2026. Francis Gannon said that he expects the strong performance from 2025 to continue into 2026, that small-cap earnings are “just at the beginning of taking off” and that valuations in the asset class are “pretty exciting.”

Francis mentioned that small-cap “valuations on a relative basis to large are as low as they've been… in 25 years. Small caps have been out of favor for a long period of time. So, I think the opportunity in small caps is quite large, and typically when you see small caps begin to outperform, it can last over a decade.”

He also talked about how, “The earnings story is going to be quite powerful and for the first time in many years, this year you should see small cap earnings outperform large cap earnings.”
