On 2/8/25, Portfolio Manager Chip Skinner was featured in a piece Peyton Forte penned for Bloomberg.com, "Super Bowl’s $1.4 Billion In Bets Arrive to Lift Gambling Stocks."

Forte wrote that, while experts were expecting a massive amount of wagering on pro football’s biggest game, the stocks of many gambling companies have been struggling since the end of the covid pandemic.

One of four industry observers quoted, Chip opined that the long-term outlook for certain gambling businesses remains bright thanks to newly legalized markets and further penetration into existing ones. Speaking about one holding, Chip said, “Management hasn’t been sitting still. They have expanded their platform to include online casino gaming and state-regional lottery offerings, with the view that there are many crossover customer opportunities.”
